Thestudio, Manchester is in the heart of the city, tucked away on Lever Street in the Northern Quarter and no more than a 10 minute walk from Manchester Piccadilly station. We have held events here a number of times and choose to run a couple of our annual in-house events at thestudio. We first came across this venue when launching the Social Media Conference three years ago, and earlier this year, we relocated the Sales Conversion Conference there as it is an awesome venue.
Once you have taken the lift up, the venue is bright and welcoming, full of quirky décor and quotes to keep your eyes and minds entertained throughout the day.
They even have some goldfish on the front desk however, my favourite part has got to be the Lego wall in the communal space. We may be adults, but let’s face it – who doesn’t like lego?
Moving on to more practical things, thestudios main plenary room is Rise and Shine which can accommodate a conference of up to 250 in theatre. They also have other smaller areas which are perfect to use for syndicate rooms or break out workshops.
thestudio have their own in house AV which plugs into their built in sound system. This includes a lectern mic, lectern and hand held mic. We were able to plug in our own lapel mics and our favourite piece of event tech, our throwable microphone, the Catchbox. Bear in mind, the stage does have to be hired in from their AV suppliers and I recommend you will need a minimum of 4 blocks to fill the front of the room.
Catering is brilliant with their onsite chefs freshly preparing lunch and free flow tea, coffee and snacks to help yourself to throughout the day. If you are a coffee lover, their coffee is also really good!
Post event, they have a rooftop terrace which is great for networking drinks or a BBQ!
If you fancied a different venue for a post event social event, the venue is surrounded by independent restaurants and bars in the Northern Quarter so there are lots of options to end your event at.
